MEDEK Process, 3+1 Education Model, and Advisory Services განხ Discussed at SHMYO Department Heads Meeting

At the department heads meeting held within Bartın Vocational School of Health Services, key topics aimed at enhancing the quality of educational activities were discussed. In particular, the MEDEK accreditation process, the implementation of the 3+1 education model, and the effectiveness of academic advisory services were addressed in detail.

Within the scope of the meeting, ongoing efforts related to the MEDEK accreditation process were evaluated, a current situation analysis was conducted, and necessary improvement steps were emphasized to ensure the healthy progression of the process. It was highlighted that strengthening quality assurance systems and meticulously maintaining documentation processes are essential for departments to achieve their accreditation goals.

Additionally, the current status of the 3+1 education model—designed to support students in gaining professional experience—was reviewed. Participants exchanged views on improving collaboration with industry and ensuring more effective implementation of workplace training processes.

Another important agenda item was academic advisory services. In this context, suggestions were shared to increase student satisfaction, ensure regular monitoring of advisory processes, and closely track students’ academic development.

The meeting concluded with general evaluations following the collection of opinions and suggestions.
